My name is Martina — born and raised in Vienna. And as befits a true Viennese, there are two things I love above all else: good food and good stories. Well — actually three: life itself absolutely has to be on that list.

Sitting still, however, was never my thing. While others at 21 were wondering which office chair to buy, I was already touring the United States as a guide, showing the wide world to German-speaking guests. And it didn’t stop there.

I spent ten years travelling our planet, sailed across oceans, lived in Spain, Portugal, the USA and Australia, and collected stories the way others collect fridge magnets.

At some point I landed — like many sensible adults — in the world of corporations and film. When my daughter was born, I thought: „Now you need a steady job.“ Well. I thought that for exactly as long as it took me to realise: steady jobs and me — that’s about as fitting as flip-flops at the Vienna Opera Ball.

„If I can’t go out into the world, then I’ll bring the world to Vienna.“

So I returned to my roots — and that is exactly what I do today: I guide guests from all over the world through this wonderful city. But not with dry dates and memorised scripts. Instead with stories, humour, hidden alleyways, secret courtyards and all the little things that make Vienna truly special.

My goal is always the same: people shouldn’t just see Vienna. They should feel it.
